Advocate in San Diego Public Schools for LGBTQIA students and parents in need of assistance with their rights, support and advocacy, community resources and leadership or volunteer opportunities.
Family Support Services:
Trans Family Support Services
Non-profit organization run by the parent of a local transgender teen. Services include family coaching, family support, education system guidance, medical system guidance and legal system guidance.

24-hour hotline that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people (LGBTQ) ages 13-24.
Crisis hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people. Please note that hours of availability may vary.
San Diego Access and Crisis line:
Provides 24-hour, 7 days per week, free, confidential, suicide and crisis intervention and prevention and access to mental health and alcohol and drug services and additional community resources.
Changing your legal name and gender markers:
I have compiled an informational guide in navigating the process of legally changing your name and gender in both San Diego and North County. Advocates at the San Diego LGBT Center and the North County Resource Center can assist you in completing the forms when needed. The San Diego LGBT Center has a free name and gender marker change clinic each month to help you with the process and forms.
